Situation:
Simon took antimalarial medication with him during his travels but omitted to take one or two of his tablets and, as a result, was not fully protected against contracting malaria.

Outcome:
Simon had to stop filming for emergency treatment. He was confined to bed until he was well enough to continue with his journey around the Equator.
