Malaria Awareness Sticker Competition Terms and Conditions
This competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and Eire residents aged 13 and under excluding the employees of GlaxoSmithKline UK Limited (“GSK”) and National Geographic (“NG”), their immediate families and the families of any company or other person involved with the competition.
Entrants are required to design a sticker to raise awareness of malaria that fits into the template which can be downloaded at malariahotspots.co.uk
The prizes are: main prize £2000 cheque made payable to the entrant’s school. The prize can be spent at the school’s discretion, however it is envisaged that some or all of the money will be spend on an educational trip for the winning entrant’s class: the winner and ten runners up to each receive £50 worth of Waterstones book tokens and a trophy.
Eleven finalists will be selected by GSK based on creativity and how well it raises malaria awareness. The entries of the eleven finalists will be placed on the GSK sponsored website malariahotspots.co.uk where users will be invited to vote for the best entry.
The winning entry may be used by GSK to raise malaria awareness worldwide and may be placed in doctors’ practices and other healthcare premises in the UK and Channel Islands.
Entrants must obtain parental permission to enter the competition.
Only one competition entry per person.
All entries must be received by the closing date of the competition, 18th April 2008.
No responsibility can be accepted for incomplete, lost, damaged or delayed entries.
On submitting an entry, entries become the absolute property of GSK. Each entrant irrevocably and exclusively grants and assigns to GSK the entire copyright and all other rights of whatever nature in his/her entry for the full duration of such rights throughout the world.
The decision of the judges will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
An entrant may only win one prize.
No cash alternative will be offered for the book tokens or trophy.
All winners will be notified as soon as practicable after the closing date.
