Mumbai

The Taj Mahal in Agra

This mausoleum - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - was created by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century as a tribute to his beloved wife.

The emperor was so devastated by his loss that his hair is said to have turned white overnight.

Sri Lanka

Although it was affected by the 2004 tsunami with loss of life and widespread environmental destruction, it still remains a beautiful part of the world and is packed with things to do.
